Jonathan knows that great things are in store for him as it relates to his music career. "I'm in a time of possession!" says Nelson. "God's pleasure is to give to us the Kingdom, so I'm going after my purpose with 'PURPOSE' to obtain my promise!"

Jonathan was the recipient of 2006 Stellar Award for "Song of the Year" of his song "Healed" recorded on the critically acclaimed, Donald Lawrence & CO's "I Speak Life" CD. Amongst many other accolades, Nelson’s most recent accomplishment is his 12 week #1 chart topping Billboard Song, “The Struggle Is Over” which is still blessing so many people worldwide. As well, he has had the opportunity to pen songs that have been released by Bishop Larry Trotter and the Sweet Holy Spirit Mass Choir, WOW Gospel 2005, Mark Hubbard and the United Voices, Youthful Praise featuring JJ Hairston, Mega Music Compilation from MEGAFEST, and Pastor Rudolph McKissick's latest CD, Maurette Brown-Clark's first live recorded CD, Teresa Hairston's GH4, Stephen Hurd's newest recording and many others.

Jonathan is married to the lovely Christina Marie Nelson. They are the proud parents of one son, Master J. Andrew Nelson, II and one beautiful daughter, Princess Julianna Marie Nelson.
