MOVEMENT DETECTED ON STILL WATERS
Hidden Beach Recordings Teams With Gospel Music Great Bebe Winans' New "Movement" Music Label
Winans' "Movement" To Be Released Via HBR'S New "Still Waters" Imprint
SANTA MONICA, CA…In a marriage between one of entertainment's most respected brands and one of its most recognized names, Hidden Beach Recordings (HBR) has formed a partnership with gospel music great Bebe Winans and his new record label The Movement Group, Inc. (TMG). The deal calls for Movement projects to be released through HBR's inspirational music subsidiary STILL WATERS: A Hidden Beach Experience.
The new venture will debut with projects from Winans himself, including a CD from the award-winning singer that's slated for an early 2004 release. The album, titled "Dream," reflects a new creative direction for the artist turned CEO.
"I could not think of a better person to partner with," says HBR Founder Steve McKeever. "Bebe is blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime voice and has proven to be one of this era's most relevant and consistent talents. He's been able to simultaneously honor his gospel roots while taking his message to an even wider audience. Through this relationship, we will be able to present artists - new and established - that will help inspire and uplift music fans across genres."
Adds Winans: "Not to sound redundant, but the relationship between HBR and TMG is a match made in heaven. It is a partnership that will nurture great things and create beautiful music for many years to come."
Winans and McKeever's creative rapport flourished while putting the finishing touches on "Dream." While Bebe recorded much of this project as a personal journey and not for a particular label, their collective vision and stewardship helped shape the fruits of this creative sojourn into its final form.
"Frankly, the fact that this record started out as a highly personal exercise and not as an attempt to make a so-called 'commercial' album can be heard from start to finish," offers McKeever. "Ironically, as is often the case with exceptional records, it is the disregard for commercialization that makes 'Dream' a highly commercial project."
