EMI Gospel & Alliant Music Group have inked a long term partnership deal which will provide a consistent flow of quality releases into the marketplace. Projects from new & established artists including Isaac Simpson & Divine Providence, Ricky Dillard & Nu Generation, Lamar Campbell & SOP and Joe Pace will be released in 2007.
Alliant Music Group was formed in 2000 by Paul Wright III and has since become a major force in the Christian music industry with multiple Dove and Stellar Awards from early releases “Quiet Times Vol. 1-4”, “With This Ring Vol. 1&2” and “Kidz Shout.” Alliant Music Group has earned its position as one of the top-selling independent record labels in Gospel music. Aside from selling records, Alliant Music Group is receiving in industry nods. This year Alliant Music Group is recognized by the 2007 Dove Award committee with five nominations.
Herb O’Neal, a veteran musician and songwriter is CEO of Alliant Music Group while founder, Paul Wright III, remains involved attaining the new title of Chairman of Alliant Music Group. This shift allows Wright to focus heavily on the creative and A&R process for all Alliant’s upcoming new releases. “I wanted to spend more time on the recording process for all our artists and really raise the level of the quality of music we are putting out,” said Wright. “My goal for Alliant is to reach-out to target areas in our community and foster releases that are specifically geared to reaching the people,” O’Neal said. “We will definitely continue to seek out untapped talent and continue to grow our reach in the Gospel marketplace.”
"I'm extremely excited to work with Paul again years after we worked together at Verity in the 90's. I've always had the utmost respect & admiration for his abilities in making great records. Our partnership with Paul & Herb's team will only strengthen each of our positions in the marketplace and give our artists maximum exposure," said Larry Blackwell, VP/GM EMI Gospel.
