Dr. Walter McCollum is a Senior Management Consultant who provides clients with organizational performance and transformation options to improve effectiveness and efficiency. He is founder and president of the Walter McCollum Scholarship Foundation where his vision is to continue contributing to society through the establishment of scholarship and youth enrichment programs. McCollum received his Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change.

McCollum candidly shares from his heart personal testimonies, struggles and successes he has achieved in life. Strength of a Black Man encourages all Black men, in spite of their class or educational background, to be empowered with knowledge and resources to move from one place in life to another. The book contains principles utilized by Dr. McCollum that he shares to help other Black men fulfill their destiny and purpose in life.

This is not another book that tells you about the problems of African-American men. This book goes in detail, offering information on how to empower yourself in a particular area of your life.
Dr. McCollum explains many common issues that have tremendously affected lives such as absent fathers, lack of support, positive role models, mental illness and all types of abuse.
