Divorce? Stay in the Fight!

I applaud you for sharing your experience and being so transparent. Your testimony speaks volumes on how you are growing. Divorce has an impact on everyone-those involved both directly and indirectly. You are not alone. Over 1 million children and young people each year weather the breakup of their parents' marriages. Sometimes divorce leaves scars that take a lifetime to heal.

If there's one thing your experience has shown you, it's that life is a fight. We are at war with evil-personally and supernaturally-spearheaded by Satan himself. The Bible declares in Ephesians 6:12, 'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The devil is not some funny looking cartoon character with horns sticking out of his head, dressed in red leotards, and carrying a pitchfork. No, the devil is real, and he is your enemy. He has sent his demonic messengers into the world to stand against you and do all they can to keep you from being the person God wants you to be.

 It is an all out attack. This war is raging in cities and towns all across the land. The battleground is not confined to the major metropolitan areas, though, no doubt, the devil has dispatched large demonic regimens to those locations. Equally disruptive and destructive forces have invaded rural areas, as well. The battle is not restricted to what some calls “the devil playgrounds” - bars, adult bookstores, and sorcery shops. The war has moved inside the doors of our homes, schools and churches.

Satan looks like he is winning the war. He and his demonic cohorts are ripping apart families, destroying friendships and splitting churches wide open. They are sapping the lifeblood out of seniors, adults, young adults, teens and children. The goal of his war effort is to suck people down into the pit of hell. Look at it this way, the babies born during the time of the Nazi bombings of London in World War II didn't ask to be born. They were born into a city where all around them bombs were blasting, buildings were crumbling, fire and smoke were filling the air and sirens were blaring. Death and destruction surrounded those newborns. Those babies hadn't picked a fight with Hitler and his henchmen, but they inherited a mortal enemy. Hitler hated those British babies as much as he hated their parents. In a similar way, you have inherited a war against the devil and his demons. Adam and Eve left you that legacy, long before your parents even conceived you. It's going to be a fight to the finish with life and death hanging in the balance. Heaven or hell is literally at stake. This is not a party-game. This is the real thing. The war is on! The only question now is, will you stand up and fight back? The only way to stand up and fight back is through the
