First Single "Never Give Up" Helps Encourage America

You might have known Yolanda Adams would bring down the house with her show stopping opening performance of “Imagine” at the recent Come Together: A Night of John Lennon's Words & Music benefit concert. The superstar is now about to release her most anticipated album yet, Believe, which is scheduled to hit stores December 4th.

Destined to be acclaimed as her most ambitious and compelling musical undertaking yet, the 12-song disc finds the indomitable singer embarking on another breathtaking journey of faith and inspiration. Backed by superstar producers from both the Gospel, pop and R&B worlds, including Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Shep Crawford, Warren Campbell, Kevin Bond, and Mike City, among others, the stage has once again been set for Yolanda's uncompromising interpretations. Standout songs include her first single “Never Give Up,” “I Gotta Believe,” Unconditional,” “I'm Gonna Be Ready,” and the album's unforgettable closer, “Thankful.”

The mesmerizing vocalist stunned the world in 1999 with her incomparable Elektra debut Mountain High…Valley Low. The groundbreaking album featured the across the board smash hit “Open Your Heart,” and spent much of the year at #1 on Billboard's Gospel and Contemporary Christian charts, selling more than a million copies and making Yolanda the biggest selling gospel artist of 2000.

Honored with a host of awards, including the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album, five stellar Awards, a Soul Train Lady Of Soul Award, three Dove Awards and an NAACP Image Award, Yolanda followed up with 2000's Christmas With Yolanda Adams, and 2001's seminal live album, The Experience.

Yolanda has also been chosen to co-host and perform on the Soul Train Christmas special later this year, as well as the Stellar Awards in January 2002.
