Japhia life and Rob Hodge Debut
Beatmart Recordings to release Fountain of Life and Born King
Nashville, TN - Beatmart Recordings announces the debut releases of two talented emcees, Japhia Life and Rob Hodge. Japhia Life's Fountain of Life is releasing March 21, 2006, and Rob Hodge's Born King is releasing April 18, 2006. The albums are highly anticipated in the Christian hip-hop community and are expected to make a positive impact throughout the industry.
Both residents of Philadelphia, Japhia Life and Rob Hodge mix gritty street atmosphere with a heartfelt message, blending it together perfectly to create two finely polished records. Through their strategic partnership with Beatmart Recordings in Nashville, Japhia Life and Rob Hodge are delivering only the best that today's hip-hop has to offer.
Fountain of Life is filled with thirteen songs that reveal Japhia's soul to the listener. Masterfully produced by Todd Collins, Fountain of Life combines the best aspects of hip-hop, R&B, and soul. "Japhia Life and Todd Collins getting together is like 50 Cent and Eminem hooking up," explains Japhia. "Todd Collins is a phenomenal producer, and when people hear Fountain Of Life they're going to hear a wide range of stuff. I look at Todd like a Jermaine Dupri or a Puffy. Not all producers can make both good R&B and good hip-hop."
Born King is packed with twenty-seven tracks that will give you a full picture of Rob's music, life, and ministry. With exquisite production by many different Philadelphia musicians, Born King is woven together by Rob's expertise on the microphone. Rob comments on the variety of styles that are found on the record. "We got some street joints, some heartfelt joints that will make you cry," explains Rob. "We got some nice concept songs. I mean, it's just a solid album. I'm really happy with it."
Over their many years of extensive touring, recording, and networking, Japhia Life and Rob Hodge have connected with an incredible amount of local and national artists, producers, musicians, and promoters. Together and as seperate artists, they have shared the stage with notables such as Kirk Franklin, Wu-Tang Clan, The Fugees, Salt (from Salt 'n' Pepa), Wyclef Jean, Hezekiah Walker, The Cross Movement, The Roots, Pettidee, J-Silas, Pigeon John, Corey Red & Precise, Todd Bangz, and countless others.
