Breakout Youth Choir Judah Generation – Album to be Released

Nashville, TN - LIGHT RECORDS (formerly known as Artemis Gospel) announced today a new addition to their ever-populating roster of artists with the signing of JUDAH GENERATION, a dynamic youth choir out of Nashville’s Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Under the direction and leadership of Bishop Joseph W. Walker III, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, JUDAH GENERATION is a 200 voice powerhouse choir that has been appointed for today’s generation.

Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III Presents Judah Generation, the first joint venture with Walker’s J3 Records and Light Records showcases this enthusiastic group of young people united in song of all tempos and styles. It’s a progressive album that takes you from Sunday morning church to the contemporary sounds of today’s generation and back, featuring songs of praise and worship, traditional Gospel music and holy hip hop. The lead single already making waves at radio, “I Am Free,” is a contemporary mid-tempo song that featuring guest vocalist Mark Kibble, of TAKE 6, who also produced the project.

Other highlights include the moving and encouraging track “Until” which is dedicated to the memory of Bishop Walker’s wife, Dr. Diane Greer Walker, who passed in early 2005. The emotional delivery of this song portrays the deep emotional loss felt by the choir and Pastor. In fact, the entire project will serve as a tribute with proceeds being donated to the Dr. Diane Greer Walker Scholarship Fund that has been established to provide scholarships to youth around the country seeking to further their education.

A refreshing testament of God working in youth, the album Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III Presents Judah Generation which will hit shelves everywhere June 27, 2006 was made to minister, encourage and feed into the future generation.
