TRIN-I-TEE 5:7 Back with Sizzling 4th Release
T57 in stores October 17, 2006
New York, NY – Trin-I-Tee 5:7 was the first Gospel girl group to achieve a Gold selling album (1999’s Spiritual Love), and this October the stunning trio that has been called “the En Vogue of Gospel music,” returns with T57, a bold and vibrant project that solidifies their staying power and finds them stronger, closer and wiser after weathering Hurricane Katrina.
The New Orleans natives (Chanelle Haynes & Angel Taylor, Adrian is from Sacramento) have literally been through THE storm, and Hurricane Katrina has brought them and their families closer together. One song on the album – a cover of “My Soul Is Anchored” – is a rousing testimony of how a real storm has defined for Trin-I-Tee 5:7 – as well as so many others - what it means to be anchored in the Lord. “We actually spoke to Douglas Miller when we decided to do the song, and we were shaking in our boots,” says Chanelle. “But he gave us his blessings, and he said he was proud of us, and that just meant so much.”
In addition to their rendition of Miller’s Gospel classic, T57 boasts the group’s signature urban laced style - with hip hop tinged beats, R&B grooves and soaring ballads. It is a CD that moves seamlessly from Friday night to Sunday morning all the while promoting positive messages of love, hope, gratitude and faith. All but three tracks were written by Trin-I-Tee 5:7, showcasing even further their evolution as artists.
Standout cuts include “I Still Love You,” which has the sweet appeal of vintage soul music; the strong testimony of faith on “I Will Lift;” and the first single “Like You,” written by Solange Knowles, which is sure to be every woman’s anthem. T57 is full of life-affirming rhythm and praise with captivating vocals and dynamic production.
The group will also bow with a new look created exclusively for them by Tina Knowles. Affectionately known as “Miss Tina,” Knowles has taken a personal interest in developing the image of this group, making Trin-I-tee 5:7 the only group other than Destiny’s Child that will serve up the signature flair of Tina Knowles.
