New York, NY. – With one of the most remarkable voices in modern music, multi-platinum selling artist Kelly Price pays homage to her faith with the release of This Is Who I Am, on EcclectiSounds / Gospocentric through Zomba Gospel. Performed and recorded live with the help of special guest vocalists Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Joe Ligon, Donnie McClurkin, Richard Smallwood, the CD was recorded in front of a 1,500 person congregation in Price’s former Church in Long Island, NY.

Written, arranged and produced by Price, This Is Who I Am merges soul, R&B and even a dash of rock into an exciting, seamless recording. The woman who has received critical acclaim for her platinum-selling CDs(Soul of a Woman, 1998, Mirror Mirror, 2000, and Priceless, 2003) says:

"This Is Who I Am is a tribute to the strength, joyand direction I receive everyday from my relationship with God. As my fans know, I’ve always included a gospel track because that is my music. I’m a Church kid [her father was the late Rev Joseph Price and her mother is Evangelist Claudia Price]. I grew up singing in the Church."

Healing,” the CD's first single, is a beautifully layered, soulful song of being broken emotionally and finding God's love to help pick you up, dust you off,and heal your pain. “Healing” borrows a beautiful interlude from Price’s hit, Soul of a Woman.

The title track is another favorite of Price’s. Infectious, upbeat, “This Is Who I Am” is an expression of the loving place Price finds herself in at this time in her life. Says Price,“This song is something that makes me happy when I listen to it. It makes me want to take a drive in an open top cardown thecoastline…or roller skate. Something uncomplicated and light-hearted. It’s a song about good news.”

Other tracks from the album will include: “The Warning,” “Nobody But Jesus,” “Heaven's Best,” a contemporary and playful remake of Al Green'stimeless "Love and Happiness, and “God is Faithful” a classic soundinggospel/bluesy duet with Donnie McLurkin.
