Legendary Gospel Vocalist Tramaine Hawkins Releases Long-Awaited Cd

Another treat on the album is her soulful re-interpretation of the seminal “Oh Happy Day.” In the four decades since it was recorded, the song is still the top-selling Gospel single of all time, and with a mighty revamp on I Never Lost My Praise, is sure to remain a tried and true favorite. Says Hawkins of the song: “You can’t go under the auspices of Gospel to Europe and not do ‘Oh Happy Day’. I do it as part of my repertoire over there and they just love it. I wanted to honor Edwin so I had to add that song to this CD, and it was kind of full circle because it represents my beginnings.”

His timing is always right.”
