Rodney Posey and Praise have an excellent sacrifice of praise well worth the listening ear it's sure to find. Entitled A New Song of Worship, the album begins with tropical spice the song, God is Great that gets the heart pumping praise and the pulse of worship elevated. "Great is the Lord and He's Worthy to be Praised". Talk about revival this album is just the emergency medical treatment that will bring your praise back to its fullest potential.

The second song "Celebration" features the rich voices of Praise as they proclaim their mission of celebration. The Lord is magnified on purpose. The people cry from their hearts expressing the goodness of God and the mighty acts that He has performed. O, because of His goodness, His lovingkindness, because of His mercy we've come to celebrate! The unity and blend of voices is very important to this selection as they proclaim the importance of praise and worship and other expressions of worship. Their voices are also a witness of the importance of being on one accord as we lift up the name of our Lord O He's worthy of an excellent praise!! I've noticed unity in other groups, but the fusing of the vocals on this particular track is amazing! The voices are crystal clear and sharp, very clean and powerful. I couldn't help putting this on 'repeat' and allowing it to minister to my worshipping heart.

This collection rests on a very unique text as well. I am an avid fan of understanding but had not heard a song that meets the goal of praise, worship, and explaining the importance and purpose of praise. What a complete package...what an awesome example of the calling of the Body of Christ. We are called not only to exalt the Lord but to be fruitful and multiply. What better way to fulfill that calling than to walk as we have been taught and explain to others the 'reason why we sing'. Truly a blessing and unique song I'm sure will get your praise fire burning. And if you're anything like me, your thanksgiving will also be stirred for such a gem as this.

Moving on, the next cut is entitled Awesome God. The initial atmosphere is a very mellow and peaceful one. Simply Awesome God, Awesome God, He's an awesome God. Is there anything too hard for God? Is there anything God can't do? Has He ever forsaken you? Let you down? No, No, No! The verse, "Awesome God, Awesome God, He's an awesome God" repeats over and over, allowing you to meditate on the girth of such an awesome God. Just think about Who He is and think about what He's done, think about His faithfulness and lovingkindness. Oh, the mind can't contain all He is and that is one very key reason why praise, true praise, cannot come from the mind because it is limited. It must come from what was created to worship him - the spirit! The voices swirl around and around creating a whirlwind of awesome atmosphere! How wonderfully refreshing.

Are you more of a foot-stomping jams fan? Well, We Come to Bless Him is just that. This high-energy praise has all the life and power you would expect from an anointed group of worshippers. Along with the hearts and voices are the many instruments, acoustics, drums, keyboards and anything that can help to lift up the Lord - did I hear a trumpet? Hallelujah! We've come to bless Him! Talk about one accord; the instruments seem to speak and the voices sound like finely tuned instruments; especially the sister with the brass trumpet vocals that really punctuate the piece.

In the word of Fred Hammond: Unto those of you who come from the "quiet church" and don't get all that loud is born this day Worship Medley. A fluttering piano provides the foundation for a soft solo hearts cry:

  I worship You, O God.
I bless Your name, O God.
Worship unto Thee O Lord is my hearts desire!

I worship You, O Lord.
I bless Your name, O God.
Worship unto Thee O Lord is my hearts desire!

It's my desire...
it's my desire...
it's my desire to worship Thee, O Lord.

It's my desire...
it's my desire...
it's my desire to worship Thee, O Lord.

The promises I have in you Lord,
The promises I have in you Lord,
The promises I have in you Lord,
The promises I have in you Lord,
The promises I have in you Lord,

They are yea, yea, yea...
They are yes and amen!

Enough said. Enjoy!
