Everybody is celebrating Jesus this Christmas with awesome Christmas offerings. Well, so is the talented psalmist, recording artist and composer, Luther Barnes! His latest CD, Christmas with Luther Barnes, will have you joyfully singing and celebrating the season.

Luther Barnes starts out this offering by keeping it all in perspective with There Is Room For Thee. Luther reminds us to remember the real reason for the season. And as another famous gospel recording artist put it: Jesus Is the reason for the season.

On This Special Day reminds us to give love on Christmas Day. Luther says that this is his favorite time of year and everybody is happy. But he also reminds us to remember families that may not be as fortunate as you. I love how he pays tribute to our soldiers away from their loved ones serving our country. Luther tells us to say a simple prayer, smile or say a kind word to help someone in need. You’ll love this one for sure.

Oh Holy Night is a traditional holiday song that brings such reverence to the occasion. You’ll love the vocal arrangements on this song. I must admit the song reminds me of true ole school music! That just goes to show you that Barnes has something for everyone on this special offering. Let’s Go To Church on Christmas Day is a fun song written by Barnes. He has special guests on this track. Guess who ya’ll? The Sunset Jubilaires! They share their holiday traditions and then encourage us all to you guessed it… go to church on Christmas Day!

Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child has be upgraded to funk ya’ll! Luther and the band puts it down on this track foreal. You can grab your partner and dance along on this one! The music is really arranged wonderfully on this tune. I love that you still know this is a traditional song; but can add that flavor to it! Sing ya’ll…

Hallelujah To The Lamb is a beautiful ballad written by Luther and lead by vocalist Cynthia Barnes. I love how artists and composers share their version of what Jesus really means to them. This soothing track will have you sipping your favorite glass of eggnog or apple cider and enjoying family and friends.
