Canada’s gospel community is growing and the energetic Danny Eason is helping to make it happen.  He formed Abundant Life, a choir based out of Montreal, Quebec and recently launched his newest album, Abundant Life The Reunion.  The album flows with worship and praise, inspiring a heartening, soulful and spiritually-rich experience. The choir vocals are powerful and each track is musically arranged to boast of God’s greatness.

Eason’s debut in gospel did not happen overnight.  He spent years directing the junior choir and organizing the youth choir in his Brooklyn, New York church.  Beginning with only seven members in 1992, the choir grew to 120 members as the ministry expanded.  Now that he has started a choir in Montreal, the faithful step of launching an album was all a part of God’s plan for Eason.

“I felt that God was calling me to take the ministry to another level,” Eason explains of starting the Abundant Life Montreal Choir, “I believe this choir will enrich the Montreal gospel community.”

Filled with songs that speak of faith, hope, worship and the importance of recognizing the blessings of the Almighty in your life, Eason and Abundant Life are on their way to fulfilling a God-given ministry.  Excitable, refreshing tracks such as the high-tempo Somebody Prayed For Me, the classic, old-time favorite or gospel music fans, My Soul Says Yes, and the album’s first track, Up There.  From one track to the other, they take the listener on a journey filled with inviting ballads that blend contemporary and traditional style worship.

Collaborating with Rev. Timothy Wright, Eason and Abundant Life deliver a medley of worshipful choruses with the heart-full, outpouring track, In Your Presence/Praise Him.  Listeners are encouraged to take the time to truly offer God praise.  The interchange of choruses, in addition to the powerful vocals, creates a rich spiritual experience on this track.
The album accentuates the importance of praising in your own way. Eason and Abundant Life release all inhibition on the traditional, Pentecostal-experience musical interlude, Let’s Go In.  The two minutes of pure musical praise is enough to get the most conservative Christians out of their seats and into dancing mode for the Lord.
