Bobby Jones’s: “The Ambassador”
Another treasured piece is the R&B-fused ‘Dr. Jesus’ that calls on God for help during hard times. Featuring The Anointed Voices of Hope, the message of deliverance and seeking a miracle will lift listeners out of those deep holes of discouragement that often come about. The theme of hope is evidenced in the emphatic, reflective song, ‘He Alone Knows.’ Darwin Hobbs’ powerful vocals add to this exuberant performance.
The album includes an interview with Bobby Jones conducted by Gospel editor-in-chief Sheila Belle of The Belle Report. When asked about his many blessings and his life’s journey at this point in his life, Bobby Jones replies: “ It feels good to be me at this point!...I am excited that someone’s decided that they would give me another opportunity to express myself vocally and bring some people along to help me do it.”
For listeners on the lookout for an album they can listen to at work, in the car or at home, The Ambassador is one of the best Gospel has to offer. The range of musical styles, including guest appearances such as Karen Clark-Sheard, Shirley Murdock, 7 Sons of Soul, Darwin Hobbs and much more is refreshing and deeply fulfilling. Bobby Jones takes his signature style of worship to new heights with The Ambassador and shows no signs this may be his last project.
