In the nearly two decades The Katinas have been making music, a lot has changed for the group. The five biological brothers (Sam, Joe, James, John and Jesse Katina) have experienced mountain highs and valley lows. Their newest album Still marks a poignant moment in their musical journey. The five brothers claim working together is still enjoyable, and are still inspired by their Samoan heritage, and continue to believe Jesus Christ is still the answer for everything.

The powerful message that believing and living for Jesus Christ can solve all life's joys and woes are conveyed throughout the album. The Katinas boldly take on a new sound on Still creatively weaving eclectic sounds of rock, contemporary beats and Caribbean rhythms. The album is the first project since the group split from their long-term relationship with Gotee Records and formed Destiny Productions. The group has since formed a new sound that is uniquely their own, adding an auspicious quality to the new album.

The album brought together some of the top musicians and producers in the industry, including Phil Keaggy, Blair Masters (Amy Grant, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Garth Brooks), Ben Phillips (Toby Mac, Natalie Grant) and others as well as producers Brain Lennox, Double Dutch, Paul David, Kene Bell, Mike Childers and The Katinas themselves.
The project offers Christian contemporary music fans a wealth of upbeat, introspective songs that flood the senses. Tracks such as the fast-paced, exciting Alive speaks of feeling the freedom that comes with the divine touch of God on a sinner's soul. The lyrics express this thankfulness in the following words: “You found me/Your grace is all around me/You took away my sin and shame/I'm dancing on my chains/So astounding/Your love has got me shouting/I'm alive cause you're alive/Yeah, yeah!”

In many ways, Still is an album that celebrates the joy of living for Christ and having the opportunity to bless others through music. With a new year ahead, The Katinas use this opportunity to present their new sound promoting hope and faith. On the track, Praying For You, (written by all five brothers), the lyrics weave a story of hope. The song speaks to an individual who is experiencing grief and offers the ultimate solution: prayer. The 10-track album is filled with songs of encouragement that uplifts, inspires and rejuvenates the soul. Praise and worship has been a theme The Katinas have been known for. This time, worship is approached in the form of presenting the gospel to those in despair.
