Feeling desperate lately? If you've been going through troubled times, artists are singing about it and offering up spiritual and scriptural solutions. God is at the center of what America needs, the lyrics often point out. This is the message a new Christian rock group is also saying. This new band on the block has joined the hundreds of Christ-minded artists who seek to encourage, uplift and praise God at the same time. If you're into rock, you'll enjoy the album, Worth Dying For.

A group of young people came together at Calvary Temple, in Modesto, California and realized they had a deep desire to reach the youth. They call themselves Worth Dying For and are seeking to shake the youth out of their lethargy and prompt them to act. The self-titled album is a definition of the band and their mission: infiltrate, destroy the darkness and rebuild today's youth culture.

The songs featured on the album are expressed using powerful words of worship and a call to surrender to God. The band's message is creatively pronounced throughout the album, with pop/rock anthems and eclectic sounds promoting the message of God's sovereign power. The 15 tracks include hymnal worship ballads such as 'At Your Cross' and the mid-tempo track, 'Die To Live.' The testimony expressed within the two songs focus on spiritual renewal and being shut away with God.

Worth Dying For is about encouraging change among the youth and the stand out track, 'Revolution', is about igniting a revival in the soul. "We wrote 'Revolution' a little over a year ago," says 22-year old Micah Berteau (guitarist/vocalist), "The idea was to empower kids with the truth. We are the sound of a revolution; we can use our voices to tell people about God, to lift a generation up…We know we have to give up all we are to see this revolution happen in our city. When a generation realizes that, that's when a revolution can begin…"'Revolution' calls people to act on the calling of their heart: "…You're the only One who can save this world today/Today will be the day/ I give it back to you/Today will be the start of a revolution/We are the sounds of a revolution."
