Wilson takes a unique approach on this album. His voice is clear and his laid back, go-with-the-flow attitude draws the listener in. What makes a song unique and special is a combination of God's anointing, the artist's talent and delivery and a heartening musical delivery. 'Trying To Fit The Ocean In A Cup' is refreshing, integrating sincerity and mastery. Wilson dabbles with acoustic, baritone and electric guitars as well as banjo, mandolin, piano, and keys throughout the album. This message eerily mirrors how millions of Christians are currently feeling with the slumping economy and wars raging overseas.

Besides making an obvious political and much-needed spiritual statement, Wilson takes on the task of creating a short song that tries to explore God's greatness. The song has is being played on radio stations across the nation and has received a strong positive response. The Arkansas native curiously voices his inner most thoughts 3 Minute Song. The unique approach of conveying an artist's challenge in singing about God is original: "I must apologize/ I have the hardest time/Finding something to define a God that I can't define/And even if I could, it would take way too long/If all I've got is a 3 minute song."

Drawing on personal experience, Wilson asks God to draw close with the soft rock song, Pull Me Through. The chorus ushers God into the heart and soul, acknowledging that there is no one else to guide us through life. While Pull Me Through delves into seeking God, the first track, The Saints speaks directly to the listener. The lyrics encourage listeners to continue praying, waiting on God and living for Christ.
