If you’re yearning for a blend of tradition with drops of soft sounds, replete with a hint of jazz, look no further than the new release, ‘No Greater Love’ by newcomer, Sandy Mack. Released on First Tribe Media (Smokie Norful), ‘No Greater Love’ features a number of worshipful tracks that all seek to exalt the risen Savior. Sandy’s voice is very clear and she effortlessly reaches those high notes on a variety of songs.

‘No Greater Love’ is all about having a relationship with God. Maintaining that close walk with God is a message that runs throughout the album, including on the ballad ‘You Are Worthy Praise.’ The praise and worship track is congregation-friendly and encourages listeners to sing along. Many of the slow moving tracks such as ‘Unconditional Love’ encourages listeners to contemplate their relationship with God.

Sandy is a relative newcomer, yet her vocal talent and ability is evident on many songs. She testifies on the choir-filled track, ‘I Can Feel The Presence,’ written by Minister Vernon Chappel, who is also featured on the track. The lyrics explore the spiritual atmosphere that one can feel when entering the presence of the Lord. “I feel the presence of the Lord/Taking me to another dimension/I feel the presence of the Lord/Spirit of the Lord/Move in this, my soul/Spirit of the Lord/Take complete control/I can feel the presence of the Lord…”

Another slow-moving, classical-feel song with authentic melody is the worshipful ballad, ‘Holy Are You, Lord.’ The song is a conversation with God, acknowledging His ever-powerful mercy and grace. When one is down, the song encourages turning to God for strength because He will pull anyone through tests and trials. Listeners should be prepared for Sandy’s piercing vocals on this track that may distract some from the lyrics.

The hand-clapping traditional piece, ‘God Can,’ is a contagious track. Listeners will enjoy belting it out with Sandy, as she once again, showcases high-pitched vocals. The song talks about God making a way and believing He will pull one through any dark moment. ‘He can make a way,’ the song states, affirming that faith is the foundation of a solid relationship in Christ.
