BEC Recordings Group Falling Up Prepares for 2nd Album
New York, NY - BEC/Tooth and Nail Recordings group Falling Up is set to release their second album on October 25th. The album entitled Dawn Escapes displays the intensity of progressive rock and proves Falling Up's radical style is not a fleeting attempt at sticking to a trend, but a true declaration of the passion they hold for their music and ministry.
Based out of Albany, OR, Falling Up originated nearly five years ago while the guys were still in high school. This was the dream of lead vocalist Jessy Ribordy, Jeremy Miller (bass player), Josh Shroy (drummer) and Joe Kisselburgh (guitar). Falling Up was signed to the BEC label the summer of 2003 and in the time to follow they recorded their debut album Crashings (produced by Aaron Sprinkle –Kutless, Jeremy Camp) which was released February 2004. A huge hit at radio, Crashings garnered three #1 back to back rock singles including “Broken Heart” which was R&R's rock song of the year for 2004 and the song of the year for the Air1 network. All three songs, “Broken Heart,” “Bittersweet” and “Escalates” were also breakthrough hits on R&R's CHR format. The videos for “Broken Heart” and “Bittersweet”also went #1 on the widely popular TVU Network. Falling Up has sold nearly 100,000 copies of their debut album.
The bands latest hit “In My Dreams-Exit Calypsan” off the X 2005 album is currently at radio and still climbing the charts. The single is also featured on Dawn Escapes and is #6 this week on the R&R rock chart. Expect a brand new single called “Moonlit” to hit the rock/CHR airwaves in mid October.
They have been on 6 U.S. tours playing 400 plus shows in 2004 and 2005. They were the Headliner band for the Little Green Tour as well as the X2005 Tour and are currently, Co-Headlining on the Falling Up and John Reuben Tour Playing 30 Markets (Sept 14th - October 30th ).
Mike Snider of Third Coast Agency, states, “Falling Up has to be the hardest working band on the Third Coast roster. I don't recall a time in the last two years when they took a break from touring or recording. All that hard work has paid off in building an extremely loyal fan base on the road. They are the next break out band and with this new record will surely go to the next level.”
