Nashville , Tenn. – Teen female vocalist Jessie Daniels works toward the June 6 release of her highly anticipated self-titled debut album with Midas Records Nashville. Produced by Scott Davis and mixed by Jeff Rothschild (Ashlee Simpson, Kelly Clarkson), her first full-length project contains 12 power pop/rock songs all written by Daniels. “Growing up in New York and becoming a Christian there, it's on my heart to show people God in as real and relevant of a way as possible,” Daniels says. “Because of how progressive things are in New York , you're not going to get through to people unless you're real, honest and can identify with them. That's how I intend to be about my faith through the music. I t's my goal for these songs to be ‘me' in every way possible. I'm coming alongside people who know me well and understand what I want to say.” The record gives a look at Daniels' soul, addressing life issues, like coming of age and finding clarity amidst confusion. True to her faith in God, Daniels talks honestly about her spiritual journey in a real, relevant way. Her message is wrapped up in a fun package of singable melodies and catchy hooks. The debut has already gained attention for the young rocker. Daniels' first radio single “The Noise” reached the No. 2 spot this week on Radio & Records Christian Hit Radio chart. Radio Disney featured Daniels as its Incubator artist in March, even as she completed promotional tours along the West Coast and in major markets such as Miami , Chicago, Dallas and Houston. She is also looking forward to playing the Cross Over Christian music festival in June. Nineteen-year-old Jessie Daniels hails from Long Island , N.Y. An actress since the age of eight, Daniels has appeared in multiple independent films as well as commercials for MTV and Lifetime. In 2003, she began writing and recording her first music project, a 6-song EP that released via her Web site. The EP garnered Daniels national attention, and she was asked to perform at Radio Disney concert events nationwide. Additional dates followed with artists including Seventh Day Slumber, Kutless, Paul Wright and Across the Sky, among others.
