Indelible Creative Group Introduces Velocity
Franklin, Tenn. – Introduced by Indelible Creative Group, new multi-artist project Velocity is set to offer independent artists from grassroots ministries around the country a wider platform to share their message as well as musical and songwriting talent.
Defined as a project that calls out the diverse and undeterred, Velocity finds its core in Isaiah 51:5, which serves as a reminder that God is moving and there is an urgency to receive His salvation. “This project features artists who act on that reality daily,” says president and co-founder of Indelible Creative Group Chris Thomason. “When we can bring them together in one place the momentum is unmistakable.”
Independent artists contributing songs to Velocity are worship leaders, singer-songwriters and rock bands, including Spur58, Alli Rogers, Heather Powers, Josh Fox, Go Deep, Christopher Williams, The Longing, Vapor, Ronnie Freeman, Axiom, Among Thorns and Tenth Avenue North.
“Each of these artists is very focused on what they are doing and why they are doing it—they are ministers before they are musicians,” Thomason says. “Velocity’s purpose is to connect people with that deeper place, moving them nearer to God. It’s our desire to serve these indie standouts with a distribution platform that unveils not only their message but also their remarkable gifts as musicians and songwriters.”
Indelible is planning several Velocity live touring events in the fall of 2006. World Vision (in partnership with Maxx Technology) is sponsoring the tour, which will feature several artists from the project.
“World Vision is excited about the new initiative of Velocity and Indelible Creative Group,” says Pamela Muse, director of artist associates for World Vision. “For more than 15 years, we have served the independent artists who tour tirelessly every week in regions around the country. Because of our belief in these artists, we look forward to our partnership with Velocity in expanding their platform and music sales across the country, one region at a time.”
