CCM MAGAZINE Launches CCM’s IT Girl Inspirational Talent Search
Teen Girls Get Chance To Sing On Stage With Point Of Grace At Girls Of Grace Conferences In Charlotte, Minneapolis, Knoxville And Oklahoma City And Win Other Great Prizes
Nashville, Tenn. – CCM Magazine, Christian music’s premier magazine, is looking for CCM’s IT Girl in a four-city inspirational talent search that will award a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform live on stage with multi-platinum recording artist and Dove Award-winning group Point of Grace at four Girls of Grace Conferences scheduled this fall.
Billed as an inspiring weekend for teenage girls and hosted by Point of Grace, the Girls of Grace Conferences will be held in Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 23-24), Minneapolis, Minn. (Sept. 29-30), Knoxville, Tenn. (Oct. 13-14) and Oklahoma City, O.K. (Nov. 3-4).
CCM Magazine will select five girls from each of the conferences as CCM’s IT Girl finalists. Each girl then performs on stage for the conference participants who will vote on the winner. In addition to performing live on stage at Girls of Grace, each CCM’s It Girl will be featured in CCM Magazine, take home a TiVo, receive a consultation from an industry professional, meet Point of Grace and win other prizes.
Girls who advance register for the conference are eligible to enter the inspirational talent search and are required to submit a demo tape and statement of faith to be considered. To determine CCM’s IT Girls, judges from CCM Magazine and Girls of Grace will apply the New Testament Scripture from 1 Timothy 4:12: “Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”
The deadline for submitting a contest application is four weeks before each conference. Complete details on the prize packages, rules and application process on CCM’s IT Girl talent contest can be found at http://www.ccmmagazine.com/ccmsitgirl.aspx.
This is the fifth conference season for Girls of Grace. The Girls of Grace conferences offer segments that focus on today’s most relevant issues for girls, led by the some of the most well known female voices in the country, including the four members of Point Of Grace along with Brio Magazine editor, Susie Shellenberger. Issues such as sex and dating, eating disorders, self-image and self-esteem, family relationships, fashion and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, are all covered during the two-day event.
