Delirious? – Now is the Time: Live at Willow Creek
Nashville, TN - Carrying on its tradition of globally relevant music, Delirious? returns Oct. 17 with the CD-DVD release, Delirious? Now Is the Time: Live at Willow Creek, on Sparrow Records. Known for its compelling live performance, Delirious? recorded the project in front of 5,000 fans this summer at the Chicago-area’s Willow Creek Community Church, the second largest church in America.
In addition to the music and video on the CD and DVD, the DVD bonus material includes a 30-minute documentary on the story of Delirious?, an 8-minute “behind the scenes” feature and the director’s audio cut.
Since the release of the band’s video A View From The Terraces, which was recorded back in 1997 on the final night of the band’s first full-production UK tour, Delirious? has evolved significantly. Back then the band was unsure of their future. Today, Delirious? has traveled the world to inspire music lovers globally--17 countries so far this year (23 countries last year), not to mention having played for the Pope in front of a million people in Germany and for 1.2 million in India with Joyce Meyers, as well as tens of thousands on tours with Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. Based in the UK, Delirious? has been playing live for 13-years with the same band members intact, creating an atmosphere that draws crowds and points them to see the wonders of what God has done for them.
According to Delirious? front man Martin Smith, the timing of the release is significant. “Over the last two albums we’ve been singing a lot about going out, about letting our faith act as the fuel for service and mission. We love hearing about people who are finding themselves similarly inspired, and we hope that this new live DVD and CD will help spread the message even further, encouraging an army of history makers to live life out loud.”
Delirious? is considered by many as the galvanizing force that changed the expression of worship through music in churches and altered how hymnbooks are viewed. Millions in churches around the world consistently sing the band’s songs each week. With nine songs in the CCLI top 500, four of those songs, “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,” “Do You Feel the Mountains Tremble?,” “Majesty” and “What A Friend,” are featured on Delirious? Now Is the Time: Live at Willow Creek.
