Chapman, headlining Winter Jam for the first time, commented: “I admire the ministry focus that NewSong has had with Winter Jam over the last decade with this annual tour, and am honored I get to be a part of it this year. I am also looking forward to sharing the stage with Jeremy Camp, whose music and ministry I have so much respect for,” said Chapman, adding: “And words can’t express how excited I am about the guys I’ll have backing me up on Winter Jam. They are two of my favorite musicians in the world and also happen to be my sons Caleb and Will. Their band, The Following, is going to be my back-up band and in my very unbiased opinion are excellent musicians!”

Added Camp, “The reason why I am involved and excited about Winter Jam 07 is because I have heard about the incredible ministry that has taken place through Winter Jam in the past. This tour is going to be filled with many amazing nights with great artists that share the same heart.”

A quarter million fans put Winter Jam’s 2006 Tour Spectacular in Pollstar’s First Quarter top-ten rankings of its annual World Top 100 Tours. According to VanLiere, they believe the 2007 show will bring out as many if not more music fans. “Winter Jam 2007, like its predecessors, is always one of Christian music’s hottest draws because of its wide-range offering of music and entertainment that appeals to virtually every age group, and is always a success with families and youth groups because of its affordable $10 at-the-door admission price.”

“Virtually no other tour offers the quality of artists and production at such a reasonable price,” adds the tour’s promoter Roy Morgan of Premier Productions. “As a result Winter Jam has continued to grow in markets and venue size and with terrific headliners like Steven Curtis Chapman and Jeremy Camp and a total entertainment package, there’s no reason to believe that Winter Jam won’t continue its success.”
