Foxwoods Resort August 9, 2005
Brooklyn , NY - The Urban IMPACT Summit presents a live recording by Gospel artist James Hall on Tuesday, August 9th, 2005, at the Foxwoods Resort Fox Theater in Mashantucket, CT. Gospel Super-Producer Sanchez Harley will be handling the production duties along with longtime James Hall collaborator, Melvin Crispell, who wrote Hall’s hits “Caught Up in the Rapture” and “Gain the World.”
After a four-year hiatus, the Brooklyn native dubbed the “Professor,”
will bring his awe-inspiring vocals back to the forefront. “It is good to be back, I feel the Lord has taken me through so many struggles just to bring me to this new level of creativity and ministry,” said Hall.
The Live Recording is one of about a dozen events during the first-time Bobby Jones Urban IMPACT Summit that runs August 7-10, 2005. The full range of events are listed on the summit website at www.urbanimpactsummit.com.
James Hall is known for creating gospel music fused with flourishes of jazz and classical music. His songs bounce with lush harmonies, killer vibratos, and an eternal hope that floods the soul. Some of his hits include the Top Ten tracks "God is In Control" and "God Wants a Yes."
The world famous Foxwoods Resort is located 90 minutes from New York City. It’s the largest resort casino in the world and has hosted luminaries such as Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Patti Labelle and Alicia Keys to name a few. This is their first gospel production. “We are happy to welcome James Hall and the Urban IMPACT Summit to Foxwoods,” said Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Chairman Michael Thomas.
“Our Nation has a long tradition of spirituality and we are proud to be a part of this historic occasion and the merging of our cultures.”
“When Walker and Associates was asked to assist with this recording, I mentioned Foxwoods and it was a go from there. There will be great music, great ministry and a great chance to fellowship with a culture that is different, yet the same in the tribe,” said Executive Producer James L. Walker, Jr. Hall, who has recorded live projects at venues such as New York’s prestigious Lincoln Center, has a reputation for making his gospel presentations first class in every manner. “Anytime you represent Jesus you should strive to be in the best venues.” Hall said.
