Gospel Superfest Adds Movie-Star Power to its Line-up

Vivica A. Fox, Clifton Davis & Vanessa Williams To Co-Host Gospel Superfest - New York 2

Show will feature Star-Studded Line-up, with such artists as Kelly Price, Shirley Murdock, Tonex, Karen Clark Sheard, Kiera “Ki Ki” Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, Gary Anglin, Tye Tribbett and GA, Dottie Peoples, The Williams Brothers, Kim Burrell, Natalie Wilson & SOP, and many more.

New York City - Two of Hollywood’s finest, Vivica A. Fox and Vanessa Williams, join Gospel Superfest Host Clifton Davis for the live taping of Gospel Superfest - New York 2, announced Dr. Bobby Cartwright, Jr., the show’s Executive Producer. The two-day event will be taped on Friday and Saturday October 28-29, 2005 at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Veteran host and actor, Clifton Davis, from NBC’s Amen, will be accompanied by Hollywood “A List” actress Vivica A. Fox (from Lifetime Television's MISSING) and actress /producer Vanessa Williams (from Showtime's Soul Food: The Series). Davis and Williams will co-host the Friday night show (Gospel Superfest Holiday-5) slated to air in December of this year. Davis and Williams will return on Saturday and joined by Fox, for the taping of (Gospel Superfest 6th Annual Salute To Black History) slated to air in late January 2006.

The Gospel Superfest brand is the nation’s most widely distributed gospel television show in syndication and is one of the leading gospel programs distributed on Christian cable networks, such as Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), Word Network, and the Daystar TV Network. The show, which reaches approximately 94 million TV households with each broadcast, also airs via domestic syndication, on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WB and UPN network affiliated stations. The program expects the broadcasts to reach approximately 94 percent of U.S. television households.

The three-hour nightly recording sessions will feature a gospel smorgasbord of music, dance, theater, and everything in between. “Attendees will experience Gospel meets Broadway," says Dr. Cartwright. "Gospel Superfest will have an entertainment feel, but it is ministry, and it is God's word through song."
