Singer, songwriter and visionary, CeCe Winans, continues to reach for the stars. She’s in constant demand and her schedule is no where near a point of slowing down. In between the studio and performance dates, Winans is preparing for her annual Always Sisters Girls Conference on July 27th & 28th at the Curb Center on Belmont University campus in Nashville, TN. This marks the 3rd year that girls have poured in from various states to participate in the two-day affair. “Always Sisters, Always Friends” signifies what the heart of the conference is about, sisterhood. This year’s theme, “The Power of a Praying Princess” promises to be a memorable one. “The examples and role models I had in other women teaching and showing me how to live a blessed life was key in my development,” says Winans. The conference committee have incorporated sessions that deal with real issues young girls face in today’s world. “Daughters From A Father’s Point of View”, which will deal with absent fathers; ‘Sisters From A Brothers Point of View” dealing with what males really think about females (good or bad) and other enlightening topics. On board to help equip our future generation of leaders are speakers: Kimberly Daniels, Donnie McClurkin, Demetrus Stewart ,Tammy Bennett, Nancy Alcorn and Jenetzen Franklin . Gospel recording artist, Kiki Sheard is back by popular demand and Verity artist, JoAnn Rosario will minister in song as well. Winans serves as host and will share special words to the girls on opening night. The conference is balanced with some fun and entertainment featuring guest singers, dancers and a fashion show. The attendees will be the first to see the Ashley Rose line being launched by Winans and her daughter Ashley. The mother/ daughter team has put together a line of active wear catering to young women who desires to dress stylish without being revealing. Winans is also set to release her 3rd book entitled, Always Sisters (Becoming the Princess You Were Created To Be) on July 17th. This 139 page paperback is published by Howard Books a division of Simon & Schuster was penned to bring hope and help to forgotten and abused girls as well as those who appear to have it all together. “I wanted to create a practical piece that would speak to young ladies right where they are and help them put Godly principles into action,” states Winans. Always Sisters reminds young women that they are loved and cherished by the most important Father of all. Winans covers topics pertinent to young girls such as image and self-esteem, behavior, dating and sexuality, prayer life and much more.
