Bryan Wilson A Second Coming Live DVD Recording

Bryan Wilson A Second Coming Live DVD Recording

Former child Gospel star and Danville native Bryan Wilson is coming home to unveil his first new CD in eight years – "A Second Coming" - with a special live DVD video recording of the songs from the new studio CD. In addition to the songs from the new CD, Bryan will also perform some of his favorite hymns and other songs not included on the new project. The DVD which will show off Wilson's Pentecostal roots will be packaged along with an audio CD of the concert later in 2008.

Along with a live band of Danville-Champaign musicians who played on
the new CD, Bryan will be backed by  a twelve-piece ensemble of
background vocalists.  This special event,  four-camera video shoot will take place on Monday, January 21, 2008 @ 7 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church, 500 East Park Street, Champaign, IL 61820. Concert admission is fee. After the concert, Bryan’s new CD will be available for purchase and he’ll autograph copies for fans.

The new project is Bryan’s first for his own Bryan’s Songs Recording label. He got his professional start at the age of 12 in 1994 when his soulful, melismatic rendition of “His Eye on the Sparrow” with the Mississippi Children’s Choir made him an overnight gospel sensation.  What followed were Dove and Stellar award nominations, two solo CDS and tours with a who’s who of gospel artists. After a voice change and time off for college at Princeton University, "A Second Coming" is Wilson’s first CD release since 1999’s Growing Up and it’s a departure. Whereas, Wilson’s childhood music was traditional, old school gospel; his new sound is urban contemporary.

The project features tracks by the production team that has produced hits on Keyshia Cole, Usher and Ciara. There are also tracks by up and coming producer Kris “Doc Sizzle” Bell, who has collaborated with contemporary gospel legend John P. Kee and rapper B.B. Jay. It’s the first time Wilson had a hand in writing, co-producing and arranging all of the songs.
