Watch out Twink! RECAP

The world of music has experienced more than 30 years of legendary gospel music played and sung by an extraordinary woman. Fans had the opportunity to express their love and gratitude to a phenomenal artist Elbernita Clark, AKA Twinkie.

The evening began whenlong time fans gaveTwinkie a standing ovation as she entered the Dallas Market Center Season Gallery Room in Dallas TX. Its purpose was to unveil Twinkie’s Official Fan Club, “Watchouttwink! This Fan Clubhas been a visionof PastorD. Rashawn Givans of Dallas for several years. After hearing Twinkie minister at a concert he promoted, Pastor Givans realize that this woman of venture should be praised for her contribution to the music industry as a whole. He brought together groups of people from cities across the nation, such as Detroit, Nashville, Lake Charles, and Seattle to launch the project. The fruits of their labor were revealed at the gala on May 17th with the launching of the fan club. A website was created to give fans the chance to learn more about Twinkie view photos and check her itinerary such as her “music workshop convention” that will tour across the country beginning in august 2008.

Musical tributes to the Queen soared at the gala with such talents as Michael "ArqAngel" Sneed, Amie', Dana Hemphill and others. Of course the evening would have not been complete without the Queen finessing the B3. Twinkie blessed the auditions with “He Lifted Me”, “Blessed and Highly Favored” and ending with “Hallelujah”which took the crowed right into church mood. At the close of theevent, Pastor Givans presentedTwinkie with a plaque recognizing her years of service in gospel music.
