One of New York’s favorite radio personalities, Denise Hill, is throwing an after Thanksgiving party. Well, it’s really a concert that will feel like a party – a church party that is. The WLIB 1190 AM radio jock known as “The Gospel Lady”, is bringing some of her favorite artists together for a free concert on Friday, November 28, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Tabernacle, 1927 Fulton & Howard Street, Brooklyn, NY 11233.

On the bill is Bishop Albert Jamison & the New York State Mass Choir (promoting CD Show Yourself Mighty), quartet king Paul Porter (pushing CD A New Day, Marvin Winans Jr. of Winans Phase 2 fame (Highlighting new single “You Never Let Me Down”), Dove/Stellar nominated artist Bryan Wilson (pushing new single “Change in Me”), Vincent Walker & Testimonies, and The DW Project (sons of Rev. Timothy Wright).

Hill, who was previously a DJ at Radio One and XM in the Washington, D.C. market, has recently published her first book. It’s called Inside: What No One is Telling the Independent Gospel Artist (Purpose Press). The book is an in-depth look at what it really takes to become successful as an independent gospel artist. Through aspects of marketing, radio, imaging, etc., artists are educated about the ups and downs of the Christian music biz. For more info on the concert/book, log on at www.denisehill.com
