Dallas, TX – Many convened in Dallas from across the country raising the bar for talent and education excellence at the 3rd Annual Gospel Search of America (GSA). The National Talent Search and Music Industry Business Seminars for Independent Artists were phenomenal according to co-hosts Gerard Henry creator of BET’s “Lift Every Voice”, Carmina of KHVN Heaven 97 Radio and Kertrina Dauway of the House of Blues Gospel Brunch.  The award winning artist trio, Trin-i-tee5:7 headlined this event and took some time before ministering; to encourage the aspiring artist.

Steve Enterprises, KHVN Radio, 105.7 Praise Radio, Marvelous Joy Ministries and TRAKO Entertainment.  The 2008 Winner of Gospel Search of America is the extraordinary Minon Bolton of Missouri; she just cam in and sag the roof of the Black Academy of Arts and Letters complex, exclaimed the judges.  Minon proved she could capture an audience and never let them go; her singing was anointed and will completely mesmerize listeners.  Minon will take you to church with her melodic voice that speaks to the soul of man.  As the first place winner, Minon will travel on a 12-City Tour of the House of Blues Gospel Brunch starting in Spring 2009. Her new project is scheduled to release in 2009, produced by renowned producer Asaph Ward.  Listen to Minon at www.myspace.com/trakoentertainment and see her LIVE at a House of Blues near you.

In addition to Minon, the talent at GSA 08 was exceptional; the two runners up Dana Hemphill (Dallas) and Nikki Thomas (Detroit) are also outstanding artist with a heartfelt gospel message, the country will hear more about these compelling artists in the near future.  Nikki’s soulful and inspirational album was pre-released in 2008, projected national release in 2009.  The top 5 finalists from this year’s competition also include the wonderful CeCe Godbolt (Dallas) and Young People of Purpose (Mississippi) could go mainstream right now; they are ready for immediate release according to the judges Bryant Scott, Joe Langham, James Roberson, and Bro. Steve.  The 2008 GSA Honoree was national recording artist Darrell Yancey, lead singer of the hit “Another Chance” recorded first by the DFW Mass Choir.  Yancey’s powerful unique ministry was unforgettable and stirring.  Look for his new release in 2009.
