Dathan Thigpen & Holy Nation Live DVD Recording May 8

Ok, so you CAN’T miss this event! Mississippi’s own dynamic rising Gospel stars Dathan Thigpen & Holy Nation are on point for their live DVD recording May 8, 2009. Under the direction of the indisputable musical brilliance of Daniel Weatherspoon (Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond, Shekinah Glory Ministry, Coko, Ricky Dillard), Dathan will deliver energetic performances from his debut CD “Get Up, Vol.1”. The night is expected to be a phenomenal affair of excitement, amazing worship and crazy praise captured live at the all new Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, MS starting at 7PM. Dathan has invited his friends Kim Burrell to feature on the recording and Tye Tribbett to bang out the after party.

Dathan Thigpen currently serves as the Praise and Worship leader at Word of Faith Christian Center in Jackson. As a youngster, Dathan led the title track, “Amazing Love” on the Mississippi Mass Choir’s 2002 recording. Over the years, he has sung back up on numerous projects including, The Williams Brother's Live project; named Cingular Wireless Mississippi Gospel Music Awards Male Lead Singer of Local Group in 2002 and 2003 and opened for CeCe Winans’ Throne Room Tour.

“As a worship leader, I want to assist God in finding those worshipers who desire to sincerely worship Him”, says Dathan. “It is my vision, through Holy Nation, to expose believers to a higher level of worship than they have ever experienced.”
