"GU" NEEDS YOU!!!

Hello Pastors, Ministers of Music, Worship Leaders and/or Representatives,

On behalf of Affinity Public Relations, we do pray that this letter finds you well. On behalf of our client, we’d like to invite you to a Meet & Greet at “GU,” the latest dining, inspiration and entertainment destination located in Harlem, NY. Open since June 2009, “GU” is an elegant venue cradled in 12,000 square feet of ambiance, comfort and has been called a true culinary experience. Additionally, “GU” has a state-of-the-art soundstage that has afforded many to inspire those who grace the GU doors, like Canton Jones, Pastor Alvin Freeland, musical theater, Gospel Brunches, Liz Black Gospel Variety Show, Melba Moore, Cuba Gooding Sr., Phil Perry, musical theater performance “A Piece of Me” to name a few. It’s GU’s desire to also offer the venue as a tourist attraction and special event venue, hosting engagement parties, fundraisers, networking events plus more.

With that said, “GU” has also been open to suggestion and criticism to better serve the community all with heads held high. Now, we need your wisdom, knowledge and experience in order to better understand how to serve others beyond just food and entertainment.

We’d like to take this time to invite you to dine ON US! On Tuesday, November 10th or Wednesday, November 11th, from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, as well, we’d like for you to meet with the owner- Mr. Joe Holland, Gospel promoter Liz Black for 1190 WLIB, our amazing executive Chef Mr. Kenneth Collins, take a tour of the venue, dialogue with other amazing men and women of God and participate in a Q & A.

In advance, we’d like to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to consider joining us for this special occasion, and also for being so open and receptive to the idea. Your role as a Pastor, Minister of Music/Worship leader will assist GU to better understand how we can serve the Kingdom community and beyond in regards to using the venue to minister God’s Word to the world. Sharing your expertise and knowledge here is such a valuable asset, we look forward to your presence.

This correspondence will serve as a small indication about the day, the format and address. Anything else or questions you may have, please feel free to email me directly and someone from the office will contact you quickly immediately.

In order to prepare the day properly:

  • We do need to know your day of choice ASAP
  • If you’ve RSVD’d already but find that you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as you can (within 24 hours)
  • If you cannot attend but know of someone else that may be interested, please feel free to pass this opportunity along

The Day:
Basically, GU is seeking to engage all denominations, regardless of their ethnicity to develop a dialog on how they can better serve Pastors, ministers of music and worship leaders by having them share their ministry outreach projects, worship experiences, as well as GU sharing their dining and music ministry plans with ministers.

The Format:
We are asking everyone to be on site (Harlem NY) on Tuesday, November 10th or Wednesday, November 11th, no later than 12:00pm and we expect the day to be over at 2:30pm. The day will flow as follows:

  • Introductions
  • Your personal duties at your church as the Minister of Music
  • A brief word by our host Mr. Joe Holland
  • Complimentary lunch and introduction of our Chef
  • A five minute presentation by Liz Black of 1190 WLIB
  • Final thoughts from Mr. Joe Holland

Please be aware that this format may change slightly

Also, this event is a GU event and seeing that they have a specific agenda in mind. Normally, we do not ask, but for this event, please do not bring flyer cards, CD's, or any other products with you except contact information on a business card. Any projects you may have that you’d like to discuss, we can do that after this event.

Come with a heart of fellowship, positive transforming dialogue, encouragement and to have fun.
