Gospel Dream Group and Hip-Hop January 5 - 8 2004
New Orleans, LA --- Full Gospel Entertainment (FGE) is currently looking for aspiring holy hip-hop artists and gospel singing groups that are interested in being a part of the second chapter of Gospel Dream talent search. Part two of the Gospel Dream talent competition will take place January 5th-8th in Houston, Texas. Elvin Ross, executive producer said, “Gospel Dream has expanded and has taken the nation by storm. We received a countless number of inquiries from people around the world asking us when were we going to do a talent search that focused on gospel singing groups and holy hip hop rappers. Well, the public asked for it and now…here it is!”
The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI) launched the gospel music industry’s answer to American Idol, “Gospel Dream” in July of 2003. The Gospel Dream talent search was taped for television in Atlanta, Georgia during the 10th year anniversary celebration of the FGBCFI and broke viewership ratings records when it aired on BET in September.
Gospel Dream Group and Hip-Hop will create an opportunity for undiscovered groups to showcase their musical talent to the nation while being judged by some of the gospel music industries finest. The winner of the talent search will have the opportunity to work with some of gospel music’s noted producers, songwriters and receive significant amount of marketing and promotions thus ultimately creating a platform for them to become gospel music’s brightest new star.
Full Gospel Entertainment, launched in July of 2001 is owned by the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, Inc. FGE employs a structured approach to managing the entertainment sector of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (i.e. Tehillah Music Group, Gospel Dream and Urban Theatrical productions). FGE seeks to introduce a new generation of entertainment with diversity and a unique identity, which will maintain the legacy and heritage of the FGBCFI by fulfilling the mission of “Changing a Generation.”
