The Gospel Dream experience is a vehicle that was designed to expose people with God-given talents to the world. This partnership with BET further expands our platform and creates an opportunity for Christian-centered, reality television programs to take its rightful place on network television."

The taping of Gospel Dream Talent Search 2003, gospel music's answer to the latest surge in television reality shows, took place on July 9, 2003 during the 10th year celebration of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Conference in Atlanta, GA at the Philips Arena.

Over 500 individuals, whose talents had been virtually untapped, gathered from around the world the week of July 7-11, 2003 to participate in preliminary competitions. Judges narrowed the talent down to ten individuals who ended up competing to have their names carved into history by becoming the first ever Gospel Dream winner.

Gospel Dream secured noted industry professionals to lend their expertise as judges for this inaugural event including Michelle Williams (Gospel music artist, songwriter and member of R&B's best selling female group, Destiny's Child), BeBe Winans (four time Grammy Award winning national recording artist and songwriter), Sanchez Harley (three time Grammy Award winning producer), David Asche (Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Provident Music Group), Bishop Albert Jamison (Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop of America), Jackie Patillo (General Manager of Integrity Music's gospel division) and Fred Jerkins (CEO of Dark Child Gospel).
