Atlanta based Music Director Kevin Styles delivers a supportive musical statement with the release of LaShun Pace’s latest CD entitled “Complete”. The project, which was released on January 23, 2007 from the EMI imprint, is a stellar offering of vocal tenacity and soul stirring background accompaniment which was in part orchestrated by Kevin Styles and his choir Psalms. Styles studio directed five of Pace’s nine extraordinary tracks, including the hit radio single All Things Working. Regarding his contribution to “Complete” Styles states, “It was a very exhilarating experience. LaShun is a phenomenal artist and wonderful to work with. I am elated that I was able to contribute to her growing legacy.”
Kevin Styles & Psalms, an elite group of 20 psalmists Styles started from Redan High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1994, is steadily becoming Atlanta’s most recognized Choir. The traditional group with the contemporary sound has opened up for today’s most notable artists, including Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett and GA, Donald Lawrence and Tri-City and former duo Ted and Sheri.
While Kevin Styles has dedicated his musical life to the ministry of Psalms, he also can be heard as a featured lead vocalist with Ricky Dillard and New G. In addition to Styles’ musical renderings he has adorned the stage in the hit theatrical production “I Won’t Tell If You Don’t”, which also starred D.C. Curry and Gary Glenn from the R&B group Silk.
As Kevin Styles and Psalms readies for their freshman recording, which is scheduled for later this year, they enjoy regional success at radio with the single Magnify Him. A stellar choir song, Magnify Him exudes the superior vocal demonstration the choir has been credited for. The choir continues to minister to audiences nationwide with their superior flair and unmatchable vocals. Award winning artist and record label executive Donald Lawrence says it best, “Be on the lookout for this new outstanding choir Kevin Styles and Psalms, a Chicago sound coming out of the ATL.”
