June 5, 2007 will mark another milestone in Richard’s career with the release of his 11th album commemorating 25 years in the recording industry. This album includes the phenomenal talent of Chaka Khan, Kelly Price, Kim Burrell, the world re-known soprano voice of Janice Chandler-Eteme and the incomparable Hawkins Family. If you’re looking for an eclectic mix of gospel and classical, look no further for this album has it all and is sure to go down in history as another Richard Smallwood classic.

Richard Smallwood hails from Washington, D.C. Beginning at an early age, Richard has always had an ear and talent for music. He began to play the piano by ear at the age of 5 and by age 11 had formed his first singing group. When Richard hit the scene with his debut album in 1982, it stayed on the Billboard Gospel Charts for 87 weeks, thus the beginning of a long and prosperous recording career. Richard has had numerous chart-breaking albums including, Persuaded-Live in D.C., Healing and many others.

Richard has been heralded as a gospel inventor and innovator and as such has been recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has received the Distinguished Achievement Award from Howard University, where he graduated cum laude and recently garnered his Masters degree at the Howard University Divinity School.

The first single, “I’ll Trust You,” is a magnum opus in trademark Smallwood style. True to his style, this album will not disappoint his fans and will ultimately draw those who were skeptics in to the world of Smallwood believers.
