Mary Alessi and Her Pastor Husband Steve Alessi Open New Church
Currently basking in the success of her third CD “When Women Worship” which features her twin sister Martha Munizzi and a bevy of praise and worship stars; Mary Alessi and her pastor/husband, Steve Alessi, will have the first services of their new church facility this Saturday and Sunday, August 11th and 12th. Metro Life Church is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the opening of its new state-of- the-art facility, which is located at 10045 NW 19th Street in Miami, FL.
The church usually has regular services on Saturday evenings and this week will be no different. Services begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday and at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. The church sponsors ministries such as Life Savers Children’s Ministry; S.H.O.U.T. Singles Ministry; Infuz Youth Ministry; Music Ministry; and Metro’s Mercy House, a home for unwed troubled teens. Alessi’s new CD features Alessi’s “friends” such as her sister, Martha Munizzi, known for her gospel hits “Glorious” and “Because of Who You Are.” The project also features Da’Dra Crawford-Greathouse from the contemporary Christian duo, Anointed; Ingrid Rosario, a Spanish-language praise artist; Nicole Binion; Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff (minister of music at Joel Osteen’s 20,000+ member Lakewood Church in Houston); and Amie Dockery, who co-wrote the book, “When Women Worship” (Regal Books, $12.99) with Alessi. The CD has peaked at #13 on the Billboard Gospel Album Sales chart thus far. A DVD of the “When Women Worship” live recording will be released nationwide on August 21, 2007.
