Bobby Jones Gospel Show will begin airing on September 9th

Grammy Award winner Dr. Bobby Jones, better known as the Ambassador of Gospel Music has been hosting the Bobby Jones Gospel Show on Black Entertainment Television (BET) since 1980. He has enjoyed overwhelming success on BET by dominating Sunday morning programming. Dr. Jones has made numerous accomplishments within the gospel music industry. He was recognized in 2002 by President Bush with the “Leader of Gospel Industry” award. Dr. Jones was also the recipient of the 2002 “Uplift” award given by Congresswoman, Sheila Jackson Lee on behalf of the United State Congress.
This fall will be the 27th season of the Bobby Jones Gospel Show on BET. Millions of faithful viewers tune in each Sunday to witness sensational gospel artists singing a variety of gospel music styles (quartet, traditional, and contemporary). The Bobby Jones Gospel Show has been inspiring and motivating viewers for a long time on Sunday morning to rejoice and praise the Lord.
The live taping for this Fall Season of the Bobby Jones Gospel Show took place at BET Studios in Washington D.C. on July 20th – 23rd and July 27th – 29th 2007. The two weekends of tapings were filled with three high spirited shows daily at 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 8:00pm. There were additional tapings added this year to the show to provide even more gospel music programming.
Bobby Jones Gospel’s theme for this season is Renew, Rebirth, and Rejoice. You’ll hear songs ministered this season that will bring about a breakthrough in your life. The message in the songs will help you to renew your faith, bring about a rebirth in your ministry and rejoice in your victory. Each show will open with a variety of soul stirring songs by Dr. Bobby Jones featuring the Award Winning Nashville Super Choir. They always open the show with a star studded performance. The choir is made up of an all star cast of talented singers.
Your favorite artists will feature their music from their latest projects. You’ll enjoy performances this fall from such artists as Tramaine Hawkins, Byron Cage, Brent Jones, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, BeBe Winans, Richard Smallwood and Vision, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Lee Williams and the QCs, Trintee 5:7, The Clarks Sisters, 7 Sons of Soul, Canton Spirituals, Shirley Caesar, Dottie Peoples, Melvin Williams, Tonex, Ricky Dillard, Ami Rushes, Jonathan Butler, Hezekiah Walker, Israel, J Moss, Marvin Sapp, Myron Butler, The Rance Allen Group, Tye Tribett, Micah Stampley, Neal Robertson, Patti LaBelle, Rev.
