Light Records to Release New Projects By Shirley Caesar, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Ziel And O

Nashville, TN - Light Records is gearing up for a harvest of hits this fall with 4th quarter releases by its flagship artists. There are two big releases on September 25th. Bishop Albert Jamison presents the New York Mass Choir on the “Show Yourself Mighty” live CD featuring cameos by Pastor John P. Kee, Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Rev. Timothy Wright, Lucinda Moore, Bishop Paul S. Morton and former Mariah Carey back-up vocalist, Melanie Daniels. On the same date, Bishop Jamison (Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop of America - GMWA) and Dr. Rhodena Preston will release “GMWA Live in Dallas” – a mass choir recording of new material at last year’s GMWA convention.

On October 23rd, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise release the highly anticipated follow-up to their Top Ten smash, “Incredible God.” The new CD “Exalted… Live in Baltimore” features the bouncy new single, “We Worship You.” There’s also a 40th anniversary live recording by Gospel’s First Lady Shirley Caesar tentatively scheduled for a November 6th release. Also, coming down the pike is a new project entitled “Praise & Worship… Embracing the Next generation” by Bishop Paul S. Morton and the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Choir.

Already in the stores are the recent releases from Gary Mayes & Nu Era “Diary of a Strong Souljah” double CD featuring the radio single “He’ll Come Through”, Zie’l’s “Genesis…Live” CD/DVD combo, old school gospel quartet Bishop Kenneth Robinson & Chosen’s “Turnaround” debut CD and Bishop Paul S. Morton’s “Still Standing” CD/DVD package.
