Darwin Hobbs Releases New Best of CD; Due September 25
Darwin Hobbs is ready to release his first best of CD September 25. Simply entitled, “The Best of Darwin Hobbs” the new project includes the singer’s career highlights. From the soul-stirring So Amazing to the hip hop inspired track Everyday, produced by Fred Jerkins of Darkchild Entertainment. The singer’s repertoire is almost as boundless as it is breathtaking.
“The Best of Darwin Hobbs” showcases the Atlanta-based artist's wide range of vocal acrobatics -- from worship and majestic ballads to smooth R&B styles. The 12-songs include additional Hobbs’ classics “I Give You Praise,” “Deeper,” “Glorify Him” and “Wonderland,” with a suggested retail price of $13.99.
Hobbs launched his debut solo CD Mercy in 1999. He followed with the best-selling Vertical project in 2001. It featured the gospel smash “Everyday” with Michael McDonald and his stunning gospel rendition of “So Amazing”. Hobbs’ prior collection Broken, was his highest charting project to date, peaking at #3 on the Billboard gospel sales chart in 2003. Hobbs released is last album Worshipper in 2005. It featured the chart topping single “Glorify” Him” and a soulful remake of Twila Paris’ “He Is Exalted.”
Hobbs’ new best of project is his greatest collected works together on one CD. One might agree that Hobbs has always been able to caress the melodies with the sensitivity of a mature vocalist and recklessly cross musical boundaries with his vocal instrument.
