Dorothy Norwood & The Mississippi Mass Choir “No Request” - In Stores October 2
On October 2, 2007, Legendary Dorothy Norwood, affectionately known as The World’s Greatest Storyteller, will once again return with a memorable, powerful gospel release recorded “Live” with the internationally renowned Mississippi Mass Choir entitled, No Request.
Dorothy Norwood’s last solo release, Stand on the Word, enjoyed a long run in the top 15 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album Charts and containing the Top Ten Billboard Gospel Song of the Year , “Praise in the Temple (It’s Service Time).” Following this success, Norwood harkened back to her roots and reunited with The Caravans after the groups’ forty year hiatus. The results prove that great gospel music is always timely, ever relevant. Norwood produced the group’s reunion CD, Paved The Way, an album which climbed into Billboard’s Top Ten Gospel Album Chart and earned multiple nominations in every major award distinction in the industry: Grammy, Stellar, Dove, and Soul Train, to name a few.
If Norwood’s track record tells us anything, we know that No Request, recorded live in Jackson, MS and backed by the world renowned Mississippi Mass Choir will bring gospel fans more great Gospel music! Mosie Burks, the face of the Mississippi Mass Choir as well as a solo artist for Malaco Records, is a featured guest on the first single released nationally to radio, “I Believe” with a Bonus Track 3 Pigs / Solid Rock.
