Gospel Superfest Presented by P & G Has Thelma! (Bern Nadette Stanis)
Atlanta,GA - United Television, LLC of Ohio the producers of Gospel Superfest TV announced today that it has entered into contract with Ms. Bern Nadette Stanis to co-host its October 26th & 27th national recording session in Atlanta. Ms. Stanis, most known for her role as "Thelma" on the ground breaking series (first african American sitcom) Good Times, will join Clifton Davis (AMEN) and other surprise co-hosts as final preparations for what is expected to be a full weekend of non-stop gospel music entertainment television.
Gospel Superfest will hold sessions in two different locations during its three-day weekend extravaganza which is expected to draw more than 8,000 fans and performers. The show's main stage event, will take place at the newly constructed Cobb Energy Centre (north 1-75 - and the 285 perimeter) which is Atlanta's first new theatre in over four decades. The Cobb Energy Centre, a 146 million dollar "state-of-the-art" theatre will be graced by some of the nation's top recording artists in both R & B and gospel music including: Regina Belle, Howard Hewett, J. Moss, Dottie Peoples, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Maurette Brown Clark, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Hezekiah Walker, Ricky Dillard & New G, Dwayne Woods, Dorothy Norwood, Melvin Williams Lil' IROC, James Bignon & Deliverance, Bishop Noel Jones' City of Refuge Choir, VaShawn Mitchell, The Rance Allen Group, The Anointed Pace Sisters, and many others.
The show is Executive Produced by Gospel Superfest founder Bobby Cartwright, Jr. and will be directed by Ryan Chase (Los Angeles). Co-Producers for the event include Jaci Clark (formerly of BET Tonight) and Tia Smith (Talented Sol Productions).
