DeLeon's Statement

  2004-11-29

Dear Fans:

I want you to know, I AM SAVED and love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and soul. I apologize for any of the things you have seen or heard in the media. The first thing I would like to say, "I have never been involved in any acts concerning 3 people in my entire life nor would I ever!" Unfortunately, in our efforts to bring an extortionist to justice, we became the focus. We have always believed that truth stands and still believe it does but to our disbelief, the headlines have focused on my family rather than the criminal. When I was a teenager, I strayed from the Lord and my upbringing for a short period but thanks to God's loving Grace he quickly reeled me back in.

A criminal with a record who disguised himself as a person bringing about reform was trying to extort money from us. He made false statements that would make anyone fear how it would be interpreted if released to the public. However, we still took a chance to expose him. Unfortunately, with all our efforts to bring this out, we have become the main topic of this controversy and not the offender himself. This man did not care about us only the money he thought he could get from us. He refused to produce any proof to substantiate anything he was saying against me. The only thing he cared about was convincing us he could make people believe these false charges because of the organization he represented. The only thing he cared about was how believable and effective it sounded to get his money.

We only wanted justice served and it caused us to appear on the front covers of every newspaper in America with false information that would devastate anyone for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, this could make good people think twice before trying to bring about justice when it could easily turn on them. I cannot change what people think but only care about what God knows. I have never used drugs, alcohol or smoked! My only mistake! When I was a teenager, I thought the world had more to offer than God, as do most teenagers both boys and girls. Not TRUE! Nothing can replace God. I was brought up to love the Lord and was always reminded of the scripture in Proverbs 22:6 " Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." I am also reminded about a song I recorded at age 4 years old, also entitled Proverbs 22:6. I thank God for the scripture and that little song, which keeps me in constant reminder that ONLY WHAT IS DONE FOR CHRIST WILL LAST.

I can only say, I hope my experience will influence youngsters all over the world to think twice before you disobey your parents and become rebellious. If you didn't know who Deleon was before, I'm sure you know me now. If you come to this site, I hope it will be a constant reminder to ALWAYS OBEY YOUR PARENTS AND LOVE THE LORD. They truly do love you and know what's best for you. We trust in God so keep us in your prayers.

God Bless you and I Love You!
