Gospel Music Channel's Christmas at Union Station: Take 6 and Trin-i-tee 5:7
The program features each group bringing a distinct flare to the hour of seasonal and sacred Christmas music. Take 6 gives their a capella take on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Lamb of God," "Joy To The World," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Let It Snow" and "O Come All Ye Faithful." The trio of Trin-i-tee 5:7 lend their lovely vocals on "O Holy Night," "Winter Wonderland," "Silent Night," "The Christmas Song" and "This Christmas."
The intimate and inspirational hour-long special was recorded at Nashville's Union Station - A Wyndham Historic Hotel which the Gospel Music Channel turned into an elegant Christmas wonderland for the tapings.
With a staggering eighteen Grammy-Award nominations, Take 6 is the most nominated Gospel, Jazz, Pop or R&B artists in Grammy history. With their solid 10 Grammy wins, 10 Dove Awards, one Soul Train Award and two NAACP Image Award nominations already on their mantel, the group's latest project is Feels Good blends Gospel, jazz, pop and a touch of R&B in a spirit-soaring feast of sound. The a capella group's He is Christmas from 1991 remains a holiday classic and earned both a Grammy and Dove Award.
