Maurette Brown-Clark, Daughter Jada Win Big At the Stellars
Nashville, TN.- The 23 rd Annual Stellar Awards took place January 12, 2008, and were nothing short of noteworthy for AIR Gospel artist Maurette Brown-Clark and her daughter Jada Simone Clark. Aptly titled the ‘Princess of Praise and Worship,” Brown-Clark took home the award for Praise and Worship CD of the Year for The Dream (AIR Gospel/Malaco). Daughter Jada Simone Clark won honors for Children's Performance of the Year for her solo work on “I Am What God Says I Am,” from her mother's CD. Jada was four-years-old at the time of the recording. Brown-Clark was also a presenter for the Stellar Award ceremony.
Brown-Clark, a petite figure with a large voice and powerful message is sweeping airwaves with “One God” from her debut release on Air/Malaco, The Dream . “One God” is rock-solid in the #3 position on the Hot Gospel Songs' Billboard Charts, #3 position on Mediabase, spending many of her thirty-eight weeks at her peak position of #2; however still remains in the #1 position on the Mediaguide Independent charts. “It Ain't Over,” the follow up single along with a bonus track of the Stellar Award winning performance from Jada on “I Am What God Says I Am”, will be released to radio in a few short weeks.
This mother-daughter duo is busy performing concert dates to promote The Dream, for more information on their itinerary, please visit: www.maurettebrownclark.com .
