Marvin Sapp’s Hit Single “Never Would Have Made It” Is The Longest #1 Song in the History Of Gospel

New York, NY – Marvin Sapp’s “Never Would Have Made It” has maintained the #1 spot at Gospel radio for six consecutive months – making it the longest #1 song in the history of the NielsenBDS Gospel chart. 

Additionally, “Never Would Have Made It” is the #1 song at KJLH in Los Angeles, getting more spins than singles by artists including Rashaun Patterson and Alicia Keys.  It is the only gospel song in the country that is #1 at a mainstream station.  KJLH’s Aundrae Russell says “‘Never Would Have Made It’ is a life changing song…it is absolutely a 7 day a week song.” 

“Never Would Have Made It” is the first single off of Sapp's third CD THIRSTY, which debuted #1, spent a total of 19 weeks in the #1 sales position and is currently the #2 album on Billboard’s Gospel chart.
