Scott Allen Of Brooklyn, New York Outperforms The Competition To Win A Chance To Sing With The All-Star NFL Players Choir At The 9th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration

BURGER KING®. More than 370 singers from around the country uploaded videotaped A capella performances on MySongMyWay.com to vie for the chance to win a VIP trip to Phoenix, Arizona and attend Super Bowl XLII. After over 670,000 views of the video, Allen, who is also known as “TLon,” has won and will have the ultimate opportunity to showcase his talents by singing LIVE with the NFL Players Choir at the 9th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, taking place at Phoenix Symphony Hall on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
“Being able to sing is a blessing from God and whenever you have a talent that moves people in a way that you could never imagine, you learn to not take it for granted,” said Allen. “Winning the My Song, My Way competition will allow me to share my talent with not only the people around me, but those around the world.”
Allen’s rendition of The Star Spangled Banner trumped the competition and earned the 29 year old the chance to be “discovered,” as the My Song, My Way contest winner and live the SuperStar lifestyle for the entire Super Bowl XLII weekend. Allen’s video was selected from ten (10) finalists based on singing ability, audience appeal, stage presence and originality and can be viewed at www.mysongmyway.com. The panel of celebrity judges included Grammy award-winners Donnie McClurkin and Marvin Winans; Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears and Troy Vincent of the Washington Redskins.
