Darwin & Traci Hobbs Launch New Management Company
Dove and Stellar Award nominated gospel artist Darwin Hobbs and his wife, Traci, have launched Atlanta-based Liaison Creative Services, a new artist development company. The firm’s mission is to become a bridge for aspiring artists and the music industry establishment.
Hobbs, who is known for gospel classics such as “Everyday” and “So Amazing” says that, “For too long, I’ve witnessed and was victim of established artists not passing along mantles.”

“There are so many established artists who are so busy chasing the pill of success for themselves that they aren’t sensitive to the needs of newcomers for mentorship,” he continues. “Before I signed my first deal, I remember hoping and praying that someone would simply give me the privilege of a “listening ear. Most times when we established artists have platforms to offer, we offer them to other established artists. This trend is diametrically opposed to the Liaison idea of becoming a bridge for those who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity.”
Liaison’s first signing is the Cincinnati, OH-based male quintet Called II Worship! The group is comprised of five, twenty-something young men (Kenny West, Isaiah Freeman, Fred James, Troy Culbreth, and Lamont Hill) who began their musical journey in 2004 and have developed a fresh sound reminiscent of the 80s gospel super group, Commissioned. The group recently released their own independent CD “Forever” and samples can be heard online at www.myspace.com/called2worship
“We’re hoping to find the guys a wonderful label home,” says Traci Hobbs. “Where they can continue to grow and develop. Called II Worship has the ability to reach not only their youthful peers but also are full grown in their sensitivity to the Presence of God! “
As he marks the tenth anniversary of his first CD “Mercy”, Darwin Hobbs has now partnered with Indianapolis-based Tyscot Records to further his own musical ministry. His first Tyscot CD project “Free”
will be released in Spring 2008.
